Creating Your Wedding List
Cult Rhea is Malta’s very first gift list and travel fund service offering unrivalled choice, flexibility and exceptional service, all in one place. We’ll use our knowledge and expertise to make this whole experience stress-free and fun for both you and your guests. Click here to find out more about our service.
You can register for your gift list online. Registering for your list is free. Once you’ve registered, you can start to add gifts straight away and create your list simply by pressing ‘Add to wish list’. Your gift list will remain private, until you choose to have it public. In that case, you will need to inform us to set your list to public.
We’re proud to provide a completely free of charge service to you and your guests.
You can create a Cult Rhea gift list in your own time, from over a year before the event to the very last minute however we recommend that you start putting your list together 6-8 weeks prior to the event and that you ask us to make it public around a week before sending invitations. Until the list is published, it won’t be visible to the public. We provide complimentary cards that you can include with your invitations to let your guests know where to find your gift list.
Your list will be private until you choose to make it public. Simply inform us that you’re ready to go public and we will make it happen.
Building your list
We work with so many different Brand Partners providing thousands of products for you to choose from. Don’t let our selection limit you - if there’s something you’d like to choose that we don’t feature on our website, you can speak to us, and we will see what can be done. All product prices are set at the recommended retail price, so that you can be confident that you and your guests are getting value for money.
When you build your gift list, we recommend that you don’t limit yourself, or your guests with your selection – make sure that you add enough gifts from plenty of price points so that you don’t run out of choice! Remember to add more items to your list than your number of guests. If there’s a gift that you really want, you can always put this at the top of your list so that your guests see this first.
We’re happy to include the facility of a group gift fund on our platform. Any gift over the price of €500 is automatically classified as group gifting. Group gifting gives you the confidence to add higher-priced items and your guests the option of contributing towards part of a gift. Guests can rest assured their donation won’t go unnoticed - they can also leave a personalised message when Group Gifting. If the item is not fully purchased by the time you close your list, you have the option of using money pledged for another gift, or even choose to top it up yourselves. Alternatively, you can always choose to use the money to purchase another Product if you’ve changed your mind.
All gifts over €500 will automatically be added to the group gift fund. Once purchased in full, you will be notified by an automatic email.
Yes, once your list is approved you will automatically have a unique link directly to your gift list, which you can share with friends and family.
We want you to have the list of your dreams. If there’s something else that you’d like to add to your list that you can’t find from our Partners, you can let us know and we will see what can be done.
Travel funds
We are happy to work with COMPASS TRAVEL for the travel fund section of Cult Rhea, one of Malta’s most renowned travel agents. So if living it up in South America features higher on your personal wish list you can ask guests to make travel fund donations via your list. We’ve made this really fun, buy giving the option to add from several experiences to make up the total amount of your travel plans. This does not mean that you need to necessarily take part in the experience that you’ve chosen, but it makes gifting more fun for your guests! This service is free of charge to you and your guests, and any travel contributions will be passed on directly to Compass Travel to cover your arrangements with them. For this reason, we recommend that you add experiences which total up in value to your outstanding balance with Compass Travel. If your amount exceeds your outstanding balance, then you will have the option to either choose anything else on Cult Rhea, or withdraw as cash (where the usual 2.75% handling fee will be retained from our end)
The process from start to finish
Once you are ready to go public with your list, we will organize a meeting with one of our gift gurus. We will go through all the list together, and make sure that every one of your products is still available from our Partners. Once that is sorted, we will make the list public. We pride ourselves on offering a truly flexible service, so we don’t place any orders with our suppliers until we receive your confirmed gift selection at another meeting we organize together after your event is over. Following this meeting, we will place orders for all the gifts you’ve confirmed and arrange for a delivery.
Sometimes gifts become discontinued by our suppliers, so to avoid any disappointment we recommend that you make time to go through the list with us as soon as possible after your event, in order to confirm the gifts that you would like us to order for you.
If a Product on your list becomes discontinued by one of our suppliers, we’ll let you know as soon as possible so you can choose an alternative. If the discontinued item has already been purchased by one of your guests, we will credit your account and you can choose to spend the money on another item from our Partners on Cult Rhea. To avoid any disappointment, we recommend that you confirm the gifts you want as soon as possible – especially for any gifts that you really want.
Prices are set at the recommended retail price, but occasionally prices may change. Should the price change for a product on your Gift List, we will keep the price that a guest has paid.
Yes of course! You can use money pledged towards any gift to put towards another Product, even if it wasn’t originally on your list.
Unfortunately, we do not allow gifts to be swapped for cash refunds.
Maybe you’re moving home or taking time off to travel? Whatever you have planned, if you’re not quite ready to order your gifts your balance will remain on your account until you are ready to place your order.
Lists are automatically closed a few days after the event, however there’s the option to keep your list open for longer if you wish – all you would need to do is let us know.
Publishing your list
When you are ready, simply contact us and we will make your list public. Once published, you’ll be able to share your unique URL with guests so that they can easily purchase your gifts. We also provide complimentary insert cards that you can include within your invitations to let guests know where to find your gift list. Guests can also find your list by entering the date of the event on our platform.
Your guests can purchase a gift via our website or the can get in touch with a member of our sales team on hello@cultrhea.com who will be happy to guide them through your gift list. Choosing a gift should be fun and stress free, so we make sure that your guests are delighted with the gift they choose for you.
Once you log into your account, you will be able to instantly see what has been purchased from your list. Additionally, you will be receiving an automatic email with every purchase made in full, together with any messages left for you by your guest.
Delivery
We do not hold stock of gifts, but instead place orders with our individual suppliers once you have have confirmed what gifts you’d like with us. The sooner you confirm the gifts you want, the sooner we will be able to get them delivered to you. A meeting will be organized after the event, to go through your list and confirm which gifts you’d like us to order for you. Our deliveries are mostly carried out by the individual partners we work with.
Yes, deliveries are mainly carried out by our individual partners and this a complimentary service. Our complimentary delivery service policy stipulates that deliveries are only made to the ground floor, and if any lifting equipment is required, it would need to be arrange by the list holders.
At the same meeting you have with our gift guru to confirm the gifts you want to order, we will arrange for a delivery.
Our deliveries are mostly carried out by our partners therefore as much as possible we will have one delivery per partner you choose to order gifts from.
Returns and exchanges
We unfortunately do not accept return requests for any unwanted gifts once these have been delivered, except for any damaged or faulty gifts or items that differ from their advertised description.
You can benefit from any warranties or guarantees that are offered directly by the Partner. When you receive your order, we recommend that you take the time to register your products for any guarantees directly with the Partner in question.
Whilst we do everything that we can to avoid any damages, should you receive any items within your delivery that are damaged or faulty, please ensure that you contact us within seven days of receipt.
General questions
Our Malta website is priced in €. We currently do not price our products in other currencies, but guests can make purchases using their bank cards in the normal way. We do not charge any additional fees for handling different currencies, but their own banks may do so.
